UNITY

Our unity is pleasing to the Lord according to Phil.2:2 - Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.(NIV)

Unity is a common theme in the Bible. It is God’s plan for His people to be in unity with each other for the purpose of being empowered by the combined strength and skills that each of us has as a gift from the Lord!

Eph. 4:16 - From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.(NIV) As we come together for the common purpose of supporting each other, we become stronger as the Church Body.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9 - two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.(NLT) The enemy knows that and has gone to extreme lengths to keep God’s people separated, divided, and at odds with each other. That is particularly true in the business realm.

Each Christian business person has a part to play in God’s market place Kingdom and as we come together in unity, we cause the Body to grow. And as we grow in the market place, we are better equipped to now fulfill the Great Commission by supporting financially those who are called to ‘go’ into all the world to preach the Gospel.

Most of us were not called to ‘go’ into all the world but we are called to bring the gospel to the world we are in.

Our unity itself is a witness to the world according to John 17:21-23 –(Jesus talking to the Father) 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.(NKJ)  

Clearly the Bible calls Christians to be in unity.

 The world can be divided up into 7 major categories of life:

• Arts & entertainment
• Business
• Education
• Family
• Media
• Political
• Religion

As Christians, we should be dominating in each category, including business. The best way for us to do that is by being in unity with other Christian businesses. As Christian business people, we need to do this. But it is difficult to be in unity with people you’ve never met or have met but don’t know!

The enemy has been very successful in keeping us divided and separated by various tactics. We need to wake up to the fact that our separation in the Body of Christ is what’s keeping us from ruling and reigning in our respective categories. We have the opportunity here, through the Azusa Club, to be united in the Christian business realm.

As a Christian entrepreneur, you were never meant to do your God given assignment – your business - by yourself! You were meant to do it in community with others. So the Azusa Club is your opportunity to be a part of something bigger than just you and your business. As part of the Azusa Club you are in alliance with other Christian business people – stronger, supported, and sustained!

What’s so special about the Azusa Club? There  are other business clubs around that help people get together/ meet new contacts – those are good things BUT the Azusa Club is different because of Jesus.- the Way, the Truth, and the Life! We know we are not here just to do business! We are here to dominate in business (rule and reign), through the anointing, and to bring people to the Lord through the business realm. We are equipped to do that by being in unity with other Christian business entrepreneurs and by running our businesses on Biblically based business principles.
